Akkoy – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Akkoy 💛
Akkoy is a community marketplace where people buy and sell second-hand African traditional clothing. By using the Akkoy app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. What Akkoy Does

Akkoy is a platform that connects buyers and sellers.
We don’t own the items, we don’t sell them ourselves, and we don’t handle deliveries. Each seller is responsible for what they list, and each buyer chooses what to buy.

2. Who Can Use Akkoy

You must be 18 years or older to use Akkoy.
Please make sure the information you provide is accurate and keep your account safe. We may suspend accounts that break these rules or harm the community.

3. Selling on Akkoy

Items must be:

• African or traditional clothing
• New, Used-Like New, Used-very Good.
• Honestly described and clearly photographed. 

Listings that are misleading, inappropriate, in a very bad condition or against our guidelines may be removed.

4. Buying on Akkoy

Before buying, please read the item description carefully and ask questions if needed. Once a purchase is completed, the seller is responsible for shipping the item.

5. Fees & Payments

Akkoy charges a small service fee of 3% on completed sales.
Payments are handled securely by trusted third-party payment providers. Fees and paid features are non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise.

5.1 Payments Must Stay in the App

All payments must be made through the Akkoy app using our approved payment methods.
Payments made outside the app are not protected by Akkoy. Asking users to pay outside the app or accepting off-platform payments is not allowed and may result in account suspension or permanent blocking.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Sellers are responsible for packaging, shipping, and providing tracking when available. Akkoy is not responsible for delivery delays, lost packages, or damage during shipping, but we can help if there is a problem or the client receives a wrong item.

7. Problems & Disputes

If something goes wrong, buyers and sellers should first try to resolve it through in-app messages. If needed, Akkoy may step in to help and make a final decision based on our trust and community rules.

8. Community Respect

Akkoy is built on trust, culture, and respect.
Fraud, scam, harassment, or abusive behavior is not allowed and may lead to account removal.

We take these violations seriously and reserve the right to pursue legal action against offenders.

9. Our Responsibility

Akkoy is provided “as is.” We are not responsible for disagreements between users or losses related to transactions, to the extent allowed by law in your country.

10. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If you keep using Akkoy after an update, it means you accept the new version.
